Part of Tutto Verdi series - Un giorno di regno (2010) Parma. 'Un giorno di regno, ossia il finto Stanislao' ('A One-Day Reign, or The Pretend Stanislaus', but often translated into English as 'King for a Day') is an operatic melodramma giocoso in two acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto written in 1818 by Felice Romani. Originally written for the Bohemian composer Adalbert Gyrowetz, the libretto was based on the play 'Le faux Stanislas' written by the Frenchman Alexandre Vincent Pineu-Duval in 1808.

In 2013, to mark the bicentenary of Giuseppe Verdi’s birth, the Teatro Regio di Parma and Unitel Classica joined forces to bring a truly unique project to fruition. The composer’s 26 operas, as well as the [i]Requiem Mass[/i], which is closely linked to these operas, are all included. Most of them will be performed and recorded in audio-video in Parma and the surrounding area. A unique box set of 27 Blu-rays. For the very first time, and to mark this anniversary, the complete works of Verdi’s operas in high definition and surround sound, released on Blu-ray by C Major Entertainment.
