Trivia

Things worth knowing

• 187 minutes exactly — the "classic feature" runtime most directors aim for.
• 251 years old — a genuine piece of film history.
• 3Directed by Jack Deveau, shot by Tom DeSimone. Note their partnership — DPs and directors often return to each other across a career.
• 4Editor Robert Alvarez shaped the rhythm. On an edit-heavy film, the editor does more to control your pulse than the director.
• 5Sydney Soons and Jack Deveau and Peter de Rome carry the top of the cast.
• 6Marketing tagline: "...an erotic film journey from the decadent past to the decadent present. You won't believe your eyes!".
• 7IMDB entry: tt0219705 — still the authoritative cross-reference for credits and trivia.
• 8Only 2 TMDB ratings — you're getting ahead of the curve on this one.
