As keen as I am for the new Neil Marshall directed Hellboy reboot, I do still wish we had gotten to see a Golden Army sequel to wrap up Ron Perlman's trilogy. Here director Guillermo del Toro lets loose all bars on his fantasy elements, stacking the movie with elves, trolls, even tooth fairies, making for a less grim, but still very good Hellboy sequel. Not to mention it features personal favourite Luke Goss in what is probably his best role to date. Final rating:★★★★ - Very strong appeal. A personal favourite.
I am a huge sci-fi fantasy fan and I really loved the first Hellboy but I don't know something was off about this one. Like someone watched Lord of The Rings and thought I can do that! The character development felt weak as well not well thought out like the first one but it was nice to hear a familiar voice after watching Star Trek Discovery!
I really love Guillermo del Toro's Movies. This one is a really good sequel to the first Hellboy and definitely worth to see! Sadly this ist the last one with this Cast so we will never know what Toro planned with the open End :(
