The scrawniest of kittens - with the biggest of eyes - finds itself stuck in the backyard of a warehouse where dwells a menacing looking bulldog. The tiny cat is understandably terrified and hiding amidst the rubbish, but a round plastic lid soon has the two playing, divided by a section of barbed wire that reminded me of one of the wartime Christmas games of football! Next evening, with the rain pouring from the skies, we learn a little more about just what the dog's duties for it's owner are, and now the slightly more confident cat decides that the time has come for both, as the "Artful Dodger" might have said, to find new lodgings. There's something of the don't judge a book by it's cover here and though I felt the conclusion just a little too twee, this is still an enjoyably crafted and quite dark animation that just goes to show that friends can come from the most unlikely of sources.
